1. Data Controller

The Flirtkeeper is operated as a personal project. For questions about your data, contact us at hello@flirtkeeper.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data you actively provide:

• Email address — when you join the waitlist.
• Chat messages and session state — minimal server-side state (your messages and the current question/score) is kept during the active chat so the conversation can function. It is automatically deleted within 24 hours of your last activity. Returning to the page always starts a fresh chat — previous conversations cannot be resumed.

We do not store IP addresses, device fingerprints, or any data beyond what is listed above in our application database. Your IP address is temporarily processed in server memory for abuse prevention (rate limiting) but is never written to our database and is discarded automatically when the server process resets. Our infrastructure providers (hosting and database) may additionally log IP addresses in standard server access logs, which are outside our direct control.

3. Purpose & Legal Basis

• Waitlist: Your email is collected solely to notify you about product availability. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit your email through the waitlist form.
• Chat demo: Messages are temporarily stored to provide the chat experience. They are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

4. Data Sharing & Infrastructure

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your application data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Content delivery and server-side rendering may be processed at edge locations globally. Operational email send logs (recipient address, template name, delivery status) are retained for service reliability and troubleshooting, even if you unsubscribe from the waitlist.

5. Data Retention

Waitlist emails are kept until the product launches or you request deletion, whichever comes first. Chat messages and session state are kept server-side only for the duration of your active conversation and are automatically deleted within 24 hours of your last activity. We do not retain a longer history, and there is no way to resume a previous chat.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your stored data.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time.
• Lodge a complaint — with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts. No data is collected passively through your browser.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
